From February, 2021 a formal license issued by the Home Construction Regulatory Authority (HCRA) must be obtained before building or selling a new home in Ontario. This licensing process which was previously administered by the Tarion New Home Warranty Corporation, requires applicants to complete training in seven specified areas of competence. MMI Professional Services is one of three training providers approved by the HCRA to provide certification training toward these competency standards.

Although licensing in Ontario is now regulated by HCRA, the legal requirement remains for every new home sold in Ontario to be enrolled with the Tarion New Home Warranty Corporation and carry Tarion warranty insurance.  MMI provides approved training in qualifying as a business and enrolling specific projects with Tarion.
