One of the most common causes of frustration for building professionals is trying to understand their financial reports. Chances are you pay an accountant to review your finances at least annually. That helps keep you on the right side of the law. It gives your banker, lawyer, maybe your investors something they can use. But how much do you get out of it?
It might not feel like it, but your financial reports can and should provide a lot of information for you to use year-round. They should help you make decisions, track how you’re doing and keep an eye on where your money is going. If you’re not getting that now, we can take you through those financial statements, explain what all the accounting jargon means and help you see what the numbers tell about your business. After all, if so many other people can learn about you from the outside shouldn’t you be able to learn at least as much yourself?
We think it’s worth our time because we know how much can be accomplished. There is a modest fee for the service but a portion of those fees will be applicable to a Construction Business Basics course if you choose to enroll in the future.
