The details of the Tarion registration process and a builder’s legal obligations for warranty coverage on new homes can be complex and distracting. This course lays out what the registration process involves, and how the builder engages with Tarion at the individual project level. We will clarify step-by-step what you as a builder need to do to comply with Tarion and your legal obligation under Ontario’s legislation for new home builders to provide warranty coverage. Both the dollar impact on you as a builder and the time lines involved will be clarified and explained.
The foundation for success for any builder depends on customer satisfaction. The subject touches virtually any contact you have with customers, and anything you produce for them. In this course we discuss how to make customer service a fundamental driver of all the things you do. Since most builders look to referrals as a critical source of new business, Customer Satisfaction is effectively your primary marketing tool. To do that job for you, it needs to be embedded in all that you and your employees do. We will explore how the owner / general manager can make that happen without having to be the one who must do all the work.
Tarion incorporates Customer Service in this education module for a good reason. Simply put, where customer service standards excel, your compliance with Tarion service standards will pretty much take care of themselves. In conducting your business in the most professional way, you will fulfill Tarion requirements as a matter of course.
This 20 hour classroom course is conducted over two full days. Tarion qualification exam will be administered at the end of Day 2 (examination fees are included in the basic course tuition).
Course fees $650+HST. A $100+HST deposit is required at time of booking. The remainder of fees ($550+HST) will be collected at the course and are payable by cash, e-transfer, cheque or credit card.
Clients who have enrolled in a previous MMI course are entitled to a reduced fee of $550+HST.
