Ontario law requires any business that builds new homes or develops a new residential property for sale must be licensed.  In coming months the licensing authority will change.  Up to now, the Tarion New Home Warranty Corporation has issued builder licenses and they remain the only authority for builder licensing at this time.  But that is changing.  By 2021 the licensing function will move to a new provincial body, The Home Construction Regulatory Authority.

That transition can lead to uncertainty for builders/contractors.  Currently there is very little information available publicly about the new regulatory authority or how changes to licensing will be carried out.  This webinar is will describe what is known about the new regulatory process, and how developers/contractors should proceed in coming months.
