Here’s What We’ll Be Talking About:
In any bid process you are trying to resolve two questions:
- What will it take for the client to select the “winner”
- What will it take for the project to be a “winner” for your business.
That word “win” is in quotation marks because too often, competitive pressure drives the pricing and terms down to a point where taking on a project isn’t that beneficial. While your priority might be to resolve question 1, that won’t do you much good unless you are clear in your mind about question 2. When you know your own limits you can be more confident in what you offer, and that confidence matters. This presentation explores how to be competitive in the bidding process without losing sight of your own business needs. At the very least, that can protect you from “winning” projects you will regret. Just as likely though, it lets you present to the client a more confident, responsive, reliable (and therefore more attractive) bid.
